Global Agribusiness Forum arrives in Uruguay this Thursday (6) to discuss trends in the agricultural market

The world’s largest agribusiness forum arrives in Uruguay to deepen discussions on the importance of agriculture in Latin America and explore the challenges and opportunities of international cooperation in favor of food security and sustainability in the region. With a history of more than ten successful editions in Brazil, the Global Agribusiness Forum (GAF) arrives in Punta del Este next Thursday (6), marking its expansion to the Latin American scenario.  The event will bring together experts, businesspeople, government representatives and other industry players, creating an environment conducive to enriching debates and the construction of new partnerships. One of the highlights of the meeting will be the “Market Outlook” panel, which will feature the presence of qualified professionals, such as Alejandro Bonilla, head of the Department of Agreements and Negotiations of ALADI, and Plinio Nastari, president of DATAGRO. The moderator will be Cesário Ramalho, former president of the Brazilian Rural Society. During the panel, experts will analyze the outlook for the main agricultural products, taking into account variables such as supply and demand, macroeconomic trends, logistical challenges and the influence of international policies.  The discussion becomes necessary in a global scenario that is constantly changing, marked by regulatory changes, price fluctuations, trade agreements, changes in consumption patterns and even extreme weather events. In addition to technical debates, the forum will be an important space for exchanging experiences, which will strengthen regional integration and promote initiatives aimed at innovation and sustainability in agribusiness.  At a time when international cooperation is crucial to address global challenges, the event reinforces its role as a catalyst for strategies that can drive progress in the sector throughout Latin America and make it a protagonist in this discussion.  About the Global Agribusiness Forum GAF is celebrating a special moment by arriving in Uruguay and joining Agro en Punta & Business, a leading event in the Uruguayan agricultural sector. The forum will bring together global leaders, experts and entrepreneurs to discuss innovative and sustainable solutions to the challenges of agribusiness. Organized by DATAGRO since 2012, GAF is recognized as the main global forum in the sector, promoting high-level discussions on sustainability, technological innovation, international trade, food security and public policies. Now, alongside Agro en Punta, the event takes on a new dimension, offering a strategic environment for exchanging knowledge, presenting new technologies and generating business. About GAFFFF In 2024, GAF was held at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo, and also became a festival with a business fair (Fair), gastronomy (Food) and entertainment (Fun), the Global Agribusiness Festival (GAFFFF). The 2025 edition takes place on June 5th and 6th, and promises to be the biggest ever held, with more than 90 hours of content, 20 thousand expected participants and more than 180 companies represented. One of the new features of this edition is the opening of the GAF, traditionally restricted to invited guests, to the general public, democratizing access to discussions on the future of agriculture and livestock farming. The main topics covered will include climate change, preservation of natural resources and sustainable solutions to feed a constantly growing population. The edition has the participation of DATAGRO, ABCZ, ABPA, Abrafrutas, Abramilho, Bionergia Brasil, Maizall, SRB and Unem.
